Pardon our dust! We are closing the studio for a few days to make some great new changes! We are moving to our new location so we’ll be offline for a bit while we’re unpacking and getting set back up. We’ve kept making and shipping dolls right to the last minute, and will resume those functions as soon as we get back up on the other side.

We’re very excited about this move! We’ve been looking for the right location for a very long time, and we’re happily anticipating lots of growth and great things in the new building. It has features we’ve wanted for a long time like dedicated parking, a permanent showroom, and a photo studio! Exciting times. Our annual open house will be hosted at the East Los Angeles location in July for those who’d like to attend.

During the downtime, we will not be online so any emails, orders, or payments will be acknowledged as soon as we get back to work next week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Have a great week everyone!

Growing Pains Hurt!

We are happy to say we have finally got everything moved from our old address to the new one, and big strides have been made in getting sorted out and resuming work. That said, there are still some growing pains which we’ve become aware of. One of those is that the phone line was not properly transferred. We expect to keep the same phone number but our current carrier is working on some line updates which means our lines are currently down. We hope they will have everything sorted and fixed before the weekend. Please contact us via email in the meantime. We apologize for the inconvenience.

We are also still behind in emails somewhat but we’re working hard to get caught up. We appreciate your patience as we rebuild and come back even better than before. To help you visualize what we’re up to, here are some studio shots from the past week or so, plus some snapshots of the color selection process. We have done (and continue to work on) some huge upgrades to the building and we’re really looking forward to settling in and enjoying them!

Did you know that the telephone has been around for 139 years? As far as “modern” inventions go, this is one of the older forms of communication. But somehow, despite it’s long history, it seems that 2 phone companies simply cannot agree on how to move a phone number. I know, I know, you’ve moved your cell number back and forth a hundred times when you’ve switched carriers, and you’ve moved your home or business numbers when you’ve changed addresses. But clearly we have come to an impasse, and these two companies can’t make it work. SO! We have given up trying and have just dealt with the fact that we have a new phone number. It is (323) 943-9227.

We are going to update all the places our phone number appears on our website, but it’s possible we may miss one or two. If you happen to find a page that doesn’t have the new number, please email Bronwen@Sinthetics.com to get it updated.

Good news though! Last week we resumed shipping of accessory products, this week we resume shipping on dolls, and we are also back to pouring again! Progress is being made. Now back to work.

You’ve likely noticed that our order forms, or your online orders, are not opening as expected. There was a stack migration or something in computer lingo we don’t fully understand that caused all the links to go bad. The information is still available, but order form images are missing and things look a bit messy. Please bear with us while we get this sorted out. We’re most likely going to be limping along with this system a little longer while we finish a new, more intuitive shopping cart. You can still place an order through the Order forms link. Price Increase & New cart

As you will have seen from our Technical Difficulties post last week, we had to hurry our shopping cart revamp after an issue with our old shopping cart. The old cart is still functional, but looks unsightly.

As soon as our new cart is available we’ll put it up and remove the old one. When we release the new cart, it will include a price increase on the dolls. Also, all dolls ordered after the increase will come standard with soft thighs. For those who place orders with a deposit between now and the release of the new cart, we will give the soft thighs upgrade for free even with the current doll pricing.

The new base pricing for bodies 1B and 1H will be $5,900, and the new base pricing for bodies 2A, 2D and the male M1 will be $6,100. This price increase is partially driven by increases in transport costs on materials, and increases in material prices.

Flawed body 2A for sale

We are offering the second prototype 2A in Dolce skin tone for sale, first-come first-served. She has a flaw which caused the gel to be too close to the bottom curve of the breasts. She will always be a little fragile in this area and will need to be handled with care. She is otherwise flawless. She will be finished to the new owner’s specifications for all details except those already present.

We’re finally getting caught up on things! We’ve update the delivered dolls galleries so that all the descriptions are included, and all recently delivered dolls are on both the flash galleries and individually linked galleries. We know that the delivered dolls pictures offer a really valuable insight into the versatility of the faces and how different they can look from one another.

Also, we have added Periscope to our long line of Social Media applications. Periscope is a live-video-streaming app which is part of Twitter. We will do occasional outings, tours of the studio, and maybe some how-to video.  Anything you would like to see in particular? Let us know!

As many of our clients and friends know, we are cat people here at Sinthetics. Just over 2 weeks ago we had to put our beloved Pixie down when she was diagnosed with cancer. She was 15, which is a good long life for a cat. Unfortunately this week we have learned that our 5-month old kitten Jasmine likely has a rare blood disease, but we don’t have the type identified yet. We found out about her illness after she was spayed last week but bruised badly all over her body. She had to get a blood transfusion on Monday because her red blood cells were down to only 10%! As you can imagine, vet bills are climbing steadily, so we’re offering a rare special on any new head orders to help us cover the unexpected costs.

There’s a 2nd reason for this sale also: We have LOTS of extra heads being poured right now because we are training 3 new people. This is the good news part of our thread! All the heads that are being offered are new, and perfect. You can select any head in any color to go with a doll you already have, or to add onto an existing order. All heads (except custom) are eligible, and all upgrades are still available. Earlier this week, we were devastated to learn of the death of a friend. She was killed in a slow-speed motorcycle accident in Hollywood. Her husband was injured in the accident but she died at the scene. Now he is left with funeral costs, healthcare costs, and all the other pressures and stressors on top of losing his soulmate. Our whole social community is rallying to help Tony, and we would like to rally our doll community to assist as well.

We are sorry to say that we are currently unable to accept credit card payments. PayPal was recently purchased by a different company and changed their policies making it impossible for us to get our funds from them. We are trying to get a new credit card processor, but the “adult” category that our brand is placed in makes our options very slim. You can learn more about this, if you’re curious, by searching for information on the “morality clause” law that USA Congress put into effect a few years ago, and the effect this law has had on people who work in adult and adult-related industries, specifically their banking options.

Since many people need to use credit cards to make payments, we are working to try to find a new provider and we will do what we can to assist people who want to place orders. Any doll orders placed starting October 23, 2015, and later will be entitled to a 5% discount on the total (order except shipping) when paid for with a money order, check, or bank wire transfer. This policy will remain in effect when we have a new credit card processor. On all products purchased after October 23rd there is no wire transfer fee applied if that is your preferred payment method.
